Ms Tahani has substantial contribution in releasing improved sorghum and rice varieties with positive impact on national economy. She also has contributed to improve agricultural biotechnology and biosafety system in Sudan including research and regulation. Providing scientific and technical leadership to research programs. She has also participated in training activities included guiding and supervising graduate students and postgraduate fellows. She has been Sudan alternate focal point of FAO GM Foods Platform (2013-2017) and Sudan focal point since 2017.
